What is Microblading?
Microblading is a process that involves tiny, fine point needles that make up asmal blade and handle to scratch and deposit pigment simultaneausly under your skin. The result? Realistic looking brow hairs that don't wash off.
Is Microblading a tattoo?
Sort of, unlike tattoos that last forever, microblading si a form of semi-permanent tattooing. The pigment used for microblading eventually fades away, and the dye particles are less concentrated than the ink of a traditional tattoo.
How long does Microblading last?
I usualy lasts 13- years depending on your skin type. However, a tuouch is required between 6-8 weeks to ensure the brows are precise and to make any adjustments. After the first touch-up, you typically don't need another one for 12 months
Is Microblading painful?
Although the procedure can take upward of 2 • hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of numbing cream.
Is a blade used to perform the Microblading procedure?
Microblading is performed with a grouping or configuration of needles affixed to a handle to manually create lines that resemble eyebrow hairs. Manual methods of tattooing have been used through the ages, and the tools have gone through changes over time from pre-historic sharpened stones ot the hand tool devices currently being used. An actual scalpel or cutting-type blade should not be used under any circumstances as these are considered medical devices and cannot legitimately be used for this process. Any hand tool device (i.e., both handle and attached needles) used for microblading should be pre-sterilized and fully disposable.
Am I a good candidate for Microblading?
Those with very oily skin are ineligible for microblading. Powder brows are recommended for this skin type. Those with less oily or combination skin, may consider a combination of microblading and powder effect, known as combo brows.
